“Predator” is a revolt against the power of mechanisms that divide and distract, and against exclusive systems that place status and affluence over universal life and liberty.

This is our primal scream, as the pressure snaps the collective awake to defy the false safety of our cage and empower en masse.

We were wondering if we will come to feel (or are already feeling) nostalgic towards human technology, especially as AI technology rises and displaces much of what has made us human up until this point in our history as a species.

Humanity is about to be augmented, if not replaced in certain ways, by AI technology.

We wrote “Future Past Collapse” to examine this sense of nostalgia.

Our debut album, “Ascension”, was released on March 20th, 2025.

Both atmospheric and melodic, the album combines darkwave with mantra and exhortation - inducing a ritualistic experience. Shadow and light collide on the Portland-based band’s songs to explore hidden dimensions of the self and society.

We delve into the dark depths of the unconscious, unraveling the mysteries that shape us, challenging audiences to confront complacency, question idols, and embrace their sovereignty. Sound becomes a tool for awakening, and performance becomes a shared rite of passage, urging us to reclaim our agency in a fractured world.

“Ascension” invites you to step into the liminal, where darkness is not to be feared but embraced, where sovereignty is reclaimed, and transformation begins.

Produced by Timo Kissel, mixed and mastered by Maurizio Baggio at Distilleria Music

Prey” reflects the passive complacency of the collective victim, stirring us to awaken to the habitual, fear-based mindset that traps us in the comfort and conformity of the status quo.

Negate the change. Endure the pain. Is this our desired human condition?

Produced by Timo Kissel, mixed and mastered by Maurizio Baggio at Distilleria Music

"Reclaim" is about remembering sovereignty and empowerment through the work of accepting that each of us incarnates in body with a specific, individual purpose.

We choose the trauma, we make mistakes, and each obstacle, successfully faced, drives our collective evolution, bringing us ever closer to the perfection of authenticity.

Produced by Timo Kissel, mixed and mastered by Maurizio Baggio at Distilleria Music

The Blackcentr remix of our song “Idolatry” gave it a big burst of energy!

Check it out on Spotify, and check out their other work!

Slighter did an awesome remix of our song “Altars”, and turned it into a hard-hitting dancefloor track!

Resistance is always futile. What you resist persists.

Trust that Resistance exists to push us to obliterate limitations.

The greatest form of Resistance is ourselves. It's in the fear that keeps us small, procrastination that hinders a goal, and the voice that says “I can't”.

Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right. One can accomplish great things when Resistance is used as a tool.

Produced by Timo Kissel, mixed and mastered by Maurizio Baggio at Distilleria Music

Altars” is about loving the divine within yourself and without, and the conscious and unconscious denial of the divine.

But Altars is also a mirror to the potential darkness and perversion in love within duality.

Life, love, and spirituality are about finding the barely remembered oneness that was lost.

When we find it, we realize we were whole all along.

Produced and mixed by Timo Kissel, mastered by Adam Stilson at Decade Music Studios

Impetus” is about using fear as motivation for personal development.

While creating this track, we all pushed our creative boundaries to write a song that reflects our desire to grow as artists and people.

This song encourages the listener to reflect inward and ask:

What am I passionate about? What am I striving for? What do I want to accomplish? How badly do I want to reach my goals and accomplish my dreams? What will I endure? What is worth suffering for?

We hope to inspire ourselves and others to stop hiding. Stop waiting. Take one small step toward your goals, then another, and another. The time is NOW. Stop hiding your gifts. The world needs your passion.

We also released a club mix of this track by Adam Stilson, and a remix by vyger!

Impetus was produced and mixed by Timo Kissel, and all three mixes were mastered by Adam Stilson

This remix of our track “Idolatry” by vyger brings a hard-hitting industrial dance floor energy to the track that suits it well!

This is a remix of our track “Light Like Stars” by DJ Straylight.

He did a great job infusing lots of energy into the track and taking it into a more industrial direction!

Idolatry” is the first track featuring both Anastasia and Jakub on vocals!

The debut EP “Inception, Bloom and Decay” features five tracks that reflect on the influence of Artificial Intelligence on creativity (and the world at large).

Its isolationist/dark ambient atmosphere is a testament to the malleability of the time during which it was created.

Light Like Stars” started off as an ambient piece and turned into something much more danceable with the addition of lyrics and vocals featuring Anastasia for the first time!

This composition is based on the sonification of the Conti computer virus code, extracting out sonically interesting bits to layer them into a musically cohesive whole, resolving into a piano arrangement.

It was a challenging piece to create, and I hope you will find the result interesting and enjoyable!

Special thanks to Christiaan Beek at Trellix for the Conti bits.

The bones of this track are heavily chopped-up and processed vocal samples.

A few first impressions from listeners:

“Love the rich, layered depth going on here.”

“I dig it. Very relaxing and mindful.”

“I love the soft ambience of this. It's really cool!”

Zola Jesus vibes!”

This is a new version of my track Heavy Water using Holly Herndon's digital twin holly.plus to create the synthesized ambient vocals. Thanks to Holly Herndon for making that available for experimentation!

This composition was featured at the 2021 Sonic Matter Festival For Experimental Music in Zürich (Switzerland).

“I think it's extremely evocative, and appropriately liturgical. There's a lot of sonic subtlety going on here. It reminds me of what used to be called a cantus firmus."“ – Niall Lynch

A personal note:

Unfortunately, Niall passed away in August 2021. He was hugely influential on me, and incredibly supportive of my creative journey, so I am dedicating this song in his memory. May he rest in peace.

“Conjures a lot of stirring emotions with few elements. Really like how it's mixed, it all sounds so sensuous.” – James Merchant

"It kind of feels like you're going in and out of consciousness. Maybe waking up in a hospital or public bath house after taking some drugs." – Gabriel Matthews

"It kind of creeps up on you out of nowhere, emerging from the dreamy textures in a way that takes you by surprise. It's unsettling, but in a way I find satisfying.” – Niall Lynch

"A terrifying audioscape. There's a lot of hopelessness. But it somehow contrasts with illumination through the cracks of the German narration. Very vast. Towards the end, the landscape opens back up again. I feel a sense of relief. Like I'm leaving (or escaped) some sort of citadel." – Gabriel Matthews
